Furniture product page checklist: five patterns that actually sell

10 min read

Strong furniture PDPs are boring in the best way: specs are visible, delivery is honest, and visualization is one click away. Weak PDPs hide measurements, use only studio glamour shots, and wonder why paid traffic bounces. This checklist is what we recommend before you add room preview — preview amplifies a good PDP; it cannot rescue a thin one.

1. Dimensions in the first screen

Width × depth × height, seat height for chairs, internal dimensions for storage. Metric and imperial if you ship both sides of the Atlantic.

2. Two photo types minimum

White-background hero for clarity; one lifestyle shot for aspiration. Preview composites from the hero; lifestyle sets expectations preview will exceed.

3. Materials and care

Fabric grade, wood species, veneer vs solid — furniture shoppers read this before they trust visualization.

4. Delivery window and returns

“Will it fit through the door?” is logistics; “Will it fit the wall?” is preview. Answer logistics explicitly — two-week white-glove vs kerbside changes conversion more than any shader.

5. Room preview CTA with time estimate

Button label: “See in my room” beats “Visualize.” Subtext: “Upload a photo · ~30 seconds.”

Weak patterns to remove

  • Carousels with 18 similar angles and zero spec copy.
  • “Contact us for dimensions.”
  • Preview links that open a subdomain with a different cart.
